I'm at the #Cloudfest #CFHack Hackathon!

I've joined the WP CLI as an MCP host team (and yes that is a LOT of abbreviations in one sentence, we'll be using the #CLI-MCP hashtag).

The goal of this project is to allow AI to interact with WordPress features, using WP CLI as an "interaction tool" but the Server part of this could be used in many different ways in the future.

I've got a thing I'd love the opinion on from #WordPress developers: should register_taxonomy and register_post_type() default to $public = false ?

Over the last six months, I've been setting up a better IT organization for my local football (soccer for those in the US) club, as I'm on its board. I started with a (free) non-profit plan for Google Apps, which got us free Drive, Docs, and Gmail.

My next step was setting up Freescout, which moved mailboxes that one person had to manage independently to boxes that we could collaborate on.

I have nothing against Elementor, but it’s not a CMS. It’s a page builder, or whatever we call those things these days. It doesn’t store the content, doesn’t deal with users, doesn’t do authentication, etc. Etc.

The CMS is called WordPress!

After we sold Yoast to Newfold in 2021, I've enjoyed working with many of the talented people at both Yoast and Newfold. Most recently I've been trying to help form a good WordPress strategy.
